Hours and hours can be spent on IG, I mean just look at my screen time notifications. 😟 As busy business owners it's a lot to open the app and find yourself swimming in comparison and overwhelm. ⁠⁠

Being intentional on IG is a good way to go about it, I have found, in my business too. Trust me, you will feel lighter and spend less time looking at the screen. ⁠⁠

Some of the best use of your time is connecting with others on this platform. ⁠⁠

Instagram is a visual platform, but words are what give us context and direction. ⁠Your brand can shine through your copy! ⁠

Captions can be thought of as a mini essay. It has a beginning, middle & end. ⁠

Eg. 3 ways to...., Stop making these mistakes on IG, You need this...., Struggling to....., It might be an unpopular opinion....⁠

πŸ’ƒπŸ» Middle - This is the juicy stuff. Sometimes breaking it up here like I've done makes it easier to digest. We want the reader to pull out the important stuff. ⁠

I had a biz babe ask me the other day, about how to show up even when you don't want to, or it feels forced. For all of you struggling with this I would say: ⁠⁠

✽ Have a game plan - Brainstorm and write out a plan to begin with so it doesn't feel so overwhelming. Know how you want to show up for your audience. ⁠⁠

✽ Plan ahead - Plan it in advance so there's structure and you know what you need to do and when. ⁠⁠
⁠⁠
✽ Batch content - Every social media manager's best friend. πŸ€“ Batching content is creating all your content for a period of time, in one go. It's efficient and helps you stay focused on your purpose. Sometimes batching two weeks at a time works or monthly also works for others. πŸ˜„β β

✽ Double check for typos. We are human- it's only natural to sometimes make a mistake here and there (it's okay.) However, it keeps things professional when we keep the typos to a minimum. πŸ˜‰β β
