A specialised retail uniform & tshirt printing and uniforms business, Parkway Designs was established in 2013 by Brent & Jacqueline Mannell at their home then on the aptly named Wakehurst "Parkway" in Narrabeen. We've long since moved to a huge larger premises in Brookvale but are known throughout the beaches as the MOST recommended and reliable uniform printers on the peninsula. Our biggest claim to fame ? Our famous guarantee - NO minimum to order, NO B.S setup fees and NO design fees - **EVER** - its our unique selling point and what sets us apart from everyone else in Sydney!
We went into business because we started as simple graphic designers looking for 3 simple polo shirts made and embroidered and no one would touch such a small order! And those that did wanted to charge all sorts of fees! They wanted 25 shirts minimum and hundreds of dollars including a design fee even though we were designers! We looked at each other in disbelief! We decided there had to be a better and simpler way!!! But dozens of phone calls and googling there just wasnt!!. But the peninsula was full of small businesses, sole traders just like us or companies wanting just 1 shirt or hat and no one would help them! The process was so confusing for many it just got so hard they gave up and wore plain black and white or ordered 25 shirts they didnt need they told us!
We decided at that moment , we would take the challenge and teach ourselves this business from scratch and fill this gap in the markets and help customers actually enjoy the process! We quit our jobs , started in the garage and built this business from the ground up, and proudly 7 years later we are a thriving 6 figure printing and embroidery business thats a household name amongst the tradies and business owners of the Northern Beaches. Need 1-2 shirts for staff or networking? No problem and yes-no fees! Need a 7xl hard to find size ? No problem and yes-no fees! Want a tshirt gift made up for a 40th birthday gift! No problem and no fees! Need just 1 embroidered hat? From 1 - 1000 shirts, now that we are in a 400sq warehouse and showroom if you want a huge order of 200 tees for a city to surf team, council elections or other fundraising event? - we do it all ! We have printed for boxer Daniel Geale, Commando Steve, Triple M, Grange old school boxing, The Australian Womens Rugby World Cup team, Everlast, Mardi Gras, Harvery Norman, Pet Barn, EMPR, Eskape Skateboards, and many more personal trainers, music DJ's, small and large business owners! We are highly involved in our kids schools and community groups, chamber of commerce, BNI networking, KALOF youth services at council and as you'll read below , many deserving charities. We have built our own custom bar lounge pool table and games room on site as well as a training area and talks are under way with Cromer Campus to run tshirt printing training with their art students! Aside from being known as the friendliest and most professional printers on the beaches Parkway Designs also has very strong links to community links in the peninsular and regularly involved in needy local charities as much as possible. When we were hit with a very premmie baby then a catastrophic stroke to Jacqueline in 2017, the community rallied around Parkway Designs providing not just kindness, lasagne and continued orders but real community support, lifts in cars and babysitting from strangers - it was unreal and brought tears to our eyes. While Jacqueline will never ever work back in the business in her old capacity due the brain injury she is determined to give back the good karma we have received by focusing instead on our philanthropic efforts where possible.
