Thinking of Our Customers During the Current Floods Across Australia
Our thoughts are with everyone currently impacted by the severe flooding affecting parts of Queensland, Northern Territory, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Many communities are experiencing heavy rainfall, rising river levels, road closures and evacuations as multiple weather systems continue to move across the country.
Emergency services are urging people to avoid floodwaters, stay updated with warnings, and move to higher ground where required. Even shallow moving water can be extremely dangerous, and conditions can change rapidly during major weather events.
⚠️ Important Safety Reminders
• Never drive through floodwater – many vehicles are swept away each year in less than 30cm of water.
• Stay clear of flooded roads, bridges and worksites.
• Keep emergency kits ready and follow local SES and BOM updates.
• Businesses should review temporary hazard signage to warn staff, visitors and drivers of flood-affected areas.
Freight & Delivery Updates
Due to widespread flooding:
• Some major highways and freight routes are currently closed, including key inland transport corridors.
• Sections of the national interstate rail freight network have also been damaged by floodwaters, with repairs expected to take weeks in some areas.
• As a result, freight and courier deliveries may experience delays into certain regions while routes reopen and logistics networks adjust.
We appreciate your patience while transport providers work safely through these disruptions.
