Your car park could be a liability you don't even know about.

Most car park injuries aren't accidents — they're the result of missing signs, undefined pedestrian paths, and uncontrolled loading zones.

Here are the 5 safety mistakes we see every single week:

❌ No speed limit signs at entry
❌ Pedestrian areas not clearly defined
❌ Loading zones left uncontrolled
❌ EV bays creating confusion
❌ Signs that are blocked or simply ignored

The good news? Most of these are a quick fix.
The bad news? Left unchecked, they create serious legal and safety risk for your business.

Using the wrong traffic sign?

You might not realise it…
until something goes wrong.

Most sites don’t have a traffic problem —
they have a clarity problem.

If drivers:
❌ hesitate
❌ guess
❌ slow down unexpectedly

Then your signage isn’t working!

There are 6 different types of traffic signs — and each one does a completely different job.

Are you using the right ones?

Thinking of Our Customers During the Current Floods Across Australia

Our thoughts are with everyone currently impacted by the severe flooding affecting parts of Queensland, Northern Territory, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Many communities are experiencing heavy rainfall, rising river levels, road closures and evacuations as multiple weather systems continue to move across the country.

Emergency services are urging people to avoid floodwaters, stay updated with warnings, and move to higher ground where required. Even shallow moving water can be extremely dangerous, and conditions can change rapidly during major weather events.

⚠️ Important Safety Reminders

• Never drive through floodwater – many vehicles are swept away each year in less than 30cm of water.
• Stay clear of flooded roads, bridges and worksites.
• Keep emergency kits ready and follow local SES and BOM updates.
• Businesses should review temporary hazard signage to warn staff, visitors and drivers of flood-affected areas.

Freight & Delivery Updates

Due to widespread flooding:
• Some major highways and freight routes are currently closed, including key inland transport corridors.
• Sections of the national interstate rail freight network have also been damaged by floodwaters, with repairs expected to take weeks in some areas.
• As a result, freight and courier deliveries may experience delays into certain regions while routes reopen and logistics networks adjust.

We appreciate your patience while transport providers work safely through these disruptions.

🤝 From the Team at National Safety Signs

To all our customers, partners and communities affected — please stay safe and look after each other. Our team is thinking of you during this challenging time.

If you require urgent safety signage or updates to help manage flood-affected worksites, facilities or roadways, our team is here to help where possible.

Stay safe Australia.

Is your campus signage ready for the first bell?

School zones fill up fast – buses, bikes and families all converge. It’s never more important for drivers to slow down, watch for signs and heed school‑zone rules.

Safety starts with signs:

• Check speed‑limit and crossing signs: make sure they’re visible, reflect light and meet local regulations.

• Replace faded or damaged signage: inspect exit signs, emergency lights and playground safety notices to ensure they’re functioning properly.

• Update first‑aid, evacuation and hygiene signs: mark first‑aid stations, evacuation routes.

• Review drop‑off & pick‑up procedures: signs should guide traffic flow—never double‑park, and avoid loading or unloading across the street.

The colour green in safety signs signals “safe conditions” and promotes calm decision‑making. Choosing high‑quality, eco‑friendly signs helps keep your campus compliant and reinforces a sustainable mindset.

to source compliant Australian school‑zone, first‑aid and evacuation signs and bring your facility up to speed before students arrive.
