Ignite Design/Creative is the freelance studio and graphic design contracting service of Ian Gay. At Ignite Ian offers a comprehensive graphic design service including logo/identity design, brand development, packaging design, publication/print collateral design, signage design and web design. In addition to these comprehensive services Ian also has an extensive network of suppliers to a

ssist in your print and signage production as well as web developers who can help with web hosting and larger web site development. Born and raised in the south-west of England I grew up with the sounds of printing presses and the smell of ink. My father, grand-father and great-grandfather were all printers and it was little surprise that I followed a similar career path. With over 25 years experience in the print and design industry my skills have been honed from working in advertising agencies, publishing houses and brand studios in both Australia and the UK. With a solid grounding in artwork and print design in leading regional UK studios, I moved to Australia in 2002 and took up the role of Art Director for a leading publishing house where I was responsible for creating new and innovative publications whilst heading up, and shaping, the design team. I have also been employed as Senior Designer at two of the Gold Coast’s leading brand studios where I have continued to hone my skills and my passion for graphic design. DISCLAIMER

All design work samples have been designed by Ian Gay either in a freelance capacity or whilst employed, either full time or as a contractor at Shac Communications, Pluvo (formerly Brandhaus), Design Blue, R&B Creative Communication or Crowther-Blayne & Associates. The studio will be closed today (Friday 23rd) while I head to Canberra to attend the Australian of the Year Awards as a nominee in the Australian Local Hero category after winning the QLD Local Hero. I will be back in the office on Tuesday 27th.
