Las Vegas 🤝 Oddball Marketing

One runs on neon lights, oversized promises, and people making bold decisions after midnight.

The other is Las Vegas.

Because good marketing should feel a little dangerous.
A little unexpected.
Like someone pitching an idea that absolutely shouldn’t work… and then somehow triples conversions.

Vegas understands something most brands forget:
People don’t remember “professional”.
They remember experiences.

The flashing lights.
The giant fountains.
The ridiculous themed hotels.
The feeling that something interesting might happen at any second.

That’s branding.

Meanwhile, half the internet still looks like a corporate waiting room with stock photos of people high-fiving near a laptop.

Safe is forgettable.

Sometimes your brand needs less “approved by committee” and more “what happens if we lean into the weird a bit?”

That’s where the magic usually lives.

P.S. If your marketing currently feels like decaf coffee in a conference room, we should probably talk.

Quick test.
Google your service + location.

If you’re not #1… you’re not getting the clicks.

Planit Kitchens were sitting at #4 for “custom kitchens Central Coast.” Close… but not close enough.

So we didn’t just “do SEO.”
We built authority.

Smart blog content.
Clear topical clusters.
Everything linked, everything intentional.

Google started connecting the dots.
And Planit started climbing.

Now? Sitting at #1.

Because ranking isn’t luck.
It’s structure, strategy, and showing up with something worth clicking.

Life lately looks like this,

Kat at Luna Park with her crew.
Clifford turning one (still not over it).
Theo earning that black belt.
Leon chasing laps.
And Carly… casually at the cinema with Mario.

Big wins, small moments… just right.

New website. New direction. Same goal, get it right.

Wwe worked closely with Damian and the team at GIBA on a full website overhaul.

Not just a facelift.

A proper rebuild to make sure their online presence actually reflects who they are and where they’re going.

From day one, it was all about collaboration.

Understanding the business.
Refining the look.
Dialling in the details.

And (shoutout to Jared) keeping communication tight the whole way through.

The result?

A site the team feels confident in.
A brand that shows up properly online.

And now… we keep going.

We’re continuing to work together across marketing strategy and paid social, building on what we’ve already put in place.

Appreciate the trust, Damian 🤝

Mini golf… but everyone’s suddenly got Olympic-level opinions on angles.

Hole in Fun delivered chaos, competition, and at least one “that definitely counted.”

P.S. HR’s reviewing the scorecards. Probably.

Following on from our Little Miss Chatterbox moment…

We accidentally profiled the whole team.

Mr. Rush.
Little Miss Sunshine.
Mr. Grumpy (pre-coffee).
Little Miss Detail.
Mr. Big Ideas.

Chaotic. Accurate. Slightly concerning.

But here’s the point:

These personalities? They’re not just in the office.
They’re in your audience.

When your messaging clicks with how people operate…

It doesn’t just land.
It spreads.

Little Miss Chatterbox has entered the group chat.

And yes… it’s Kat.

This week’s office debate quickly spiralled:
Who’s the Mr. Rush?
Who’s secretly a Mr. Grumpy before coffee?
Who’s out here playing Little Miss Sunshine by 9am?

Fun? Yes.
Accurate? Also yes.

But here’s where it gets interesting.

Those characters stick because they’re not random - they’re archetypes.
Patterns we recognise instantly. People we feel like we know.

And that’s exactly how good marketing works.

Because your audience isn’t just “business owners in NSW.”
They’re driven by something deeper:

The sceptic who needs proof
The impatient one who wants it yesterday
The loyal one who sticks around
The chatterbox who shares everything

Same offer. Different lens.

Get that right, and you’re not just talking at people.

You’re giving them something worth talking about.

Remember when marketing was just posting and hoping for the best?

Yeah… that doesn’t really cut it anymore.

Today, it’s about understanding your audience, creating content that actually grabs attention, and testing what works (not what you think works).

Same platforms. Completely different playbook.

If it still feels like guesswork, there’s a better way to do it

Two birthdays. Two days. Zero chance of keeping it quiet.

Kat hit 40.
Liss said, “hold my cake.”

Happy birthday Kat & Liss 🎉

Proof that the loudest moments?
They’re the ones people remember.

P.S. Subtle is overrated anyway.
