When it comes to hardwood decks, we keep it consistent.

Cutek every time, making sure the end grains are properly sealed so nothing gets left exposed. That’s where a lot of jobs fall short.

Timber comes in pre-oiled from North Shore Timbers, so we’re straight into it without delays.

Vapour seal down, protection sorted, and everything prepped so the boys can move through clean and keep the job flowing 👍

Tight space, low clearance, so everything had to be spot on from the start.

Set up properly from the base:
🔨 Aluminium frame for low clearance
🔨 Woodevo Home Advanced boards, tough and low maintenance
🔨 Versiclad pergola overhead to keep it usable year-round

This is one of those small details that makes a big difference.

You see it all the time… boards cut in and the raw edge gets left showing. Stands out straight away once the border goes on.

We run an orbital over every edge before the border goes down, same again on the breakers. Then we paint the end grain so it all blends in properly.

Even when the core colour’s close, we still do it. No shortcuts here.
Just a clean, consistent finish every time.

Some reckon this is over the top… but this is how you get joins bang on every time.

We’ll take the extra time here because it shows in the finish later. That’s the part clients notice for years, not how fast it went down.

Once everything’s lined up, we bring in to keep it moving and consistent across the run.

And when your framing’s straight thanks to , the whole job just falls into place.

Never rely on clips alone to get a perfect finish.

Using tools that are made for the job are the best way to achieve a perfect finish. It only takes 1mm variation in the boards not being tight enough to the clip and before you know it, you have a bow in the deck. Using the is one way to make it easier.

When it comes to the breakers and boarders. Less screws the better to achieve a seamless finish but on the supervisor you’re not sacrificing the integrity of the boards with the Trulock clips, we get the best of both worlds. 😉

Little details like this make the whole deck feel finished.

Running the horizontal fascia against the vertical boards gives you that clean contrast, but it also lets everything line up properly. No guessing, no awkward cuts.

We’ve worked the storage doors straight into the joins so they disappear into the lines. Sit right where they should and don’t stand out.
All ties are clean and does the job without drawing attention.

Pymble Project 👊

This one was a complex rebuild with a lot going on from the start, but what stood out was how smoothly it all ran. The crew stepped up, trades worked together, and there was no chasing or holdups, just everyone doing their job properly.

Everything landed where it should, when it should, and it wrapped up ahead of schedule with zero defects.

Comman problem when working around a pool is not having your boards marry up and unfortunately we see this all the time others fix this with a single rip to make up the difference 🤢 but not on any of our decks. It only takes .5mm per board and you ll have an issue.

With the the proper set out and cross checking it can be easily avoided. 😉

Miranda Project Update 👷‍♂️

Hard at work on this one.

The boys have started the set out and are getting the subframe underway for the new deck. Once that’s locked in, we’ll run a low deck around the outside and start tying everything together.

We’ll also show the 3D render for this build so you can see the plan before it all comes to life.

Simple design. Clean finish.

WoodEvo Oaks going down once the structure is ready.
