Some artists have been known to paint their dreams. Here’s mine from about 5am….

I stole the Rex plane
Now what does that mean?
I stole it this morning
If only a dream

I landed in Sydney
No runway, a road!
Then the tips of both wings
Snapped off under load

I pulled up so gently
There wasn’t a fuss
There were no police cars
And surprise, no Rex Bus!

Saw a friend when I landed
And gave her a kiss
Said, ‘I’m going to jail now,
My free life I’ll miss.’

This morning's inspiration on the way to the supermarket in the rain...

Birds just don’t seem, to mind when it’s raining
Flitting about and never complaining
Chasing each other and singing their songs
Maybe the raindrops are singing along?

For when the rain falls, all safely and sound
Gentle on rooftops and soft on the ground
Or into the trees, where birds like to sing
The raindrops for birds, their songs, they do bring.
