While in Canada 🇨🇦 we took time to visit Alan & Shanna Jones of Jones Hereford Ranches. This was a great few days for Sarah to talk donkey and me to talk cattle and crop farming.
The Jones family were exceptional hosts, from taking us to now just one but two free stampede breakfasts and keeping us well lubricated with some wonderful red wines and home raised beef 🥩 yum.
The tour around the farm and visits to other farms and feed lots was great.
Thanks so much to the entire family for a great weekend.

Well I have finally got a chance and mobile service to post on our last visit in the US 🇺🇸. We had a wonderful time with Tim & Crissy Thomas of Stillwater Murray Greys.
Not only do they have a great herd of cattle bred for the harsh conditions of Montana but the way they interact with the environment to manage a very rear fire fly through the use of regenerative farming practices is quite inspiring.
We all got pretty wet looking at the cattle but when you need the rain it never matters. The only problem with the rain was the cattle were a bit cold for photos and we couldn’t see the lovely mountains that surround the farm. However the next morning before we flew out the clouds had lifted so we shot back out for a few more pictures, totally worth while!

The other day while making our way to Yellowstone the national park and not the ranch, we had the pleasure of meeting Christine Sponseller of WestRidge Murray Greys in Roberts, Idaho.
Christine has got it going on! And it was good to be able to help out with Watering and feeding stock while looking around at the same time. After dinner she was out again for a few hours to bale lucerne hay leaving us to catch up on our own farming activities with Felicity.
We were impressed by her cattle and the use of AI and ET to have a herd of very high standards. We are probably a little bit biased because she was breeding the same type of cattle we breed.
We really appreciate our time with her knowing full well how busy it is on the farm during harvest.
Keep up the great work and looking forward to seeing which bull you choose to show!
