We are casting for "The Slip", an exciting new independent short film shooting in Hervey Bay, QLD! We are looking for talented locals to bring this story to life—including 1930s townsfolk, modern-day tourists, and a few key speaking roles.

🗓 Shoot Dates: November 2026
📍 Location: Hervey Bay, QLD & surrounding areas
🎥 Project Type: Independent Short Film (Non-Paid)
✨ Perks: Full on-set catering, IMDB/Screen Credit, and a free ticket to the film screening!

🎭 ROLES AVAILABLE:
Speaking & Bit Parts:
* Dave (30s, Male): Modern-day museum volunteer. Relaxed, friendly, and practical.
* Speed Cop (30s-50s, Male): 1930s blue-collar skeptical local constable.
* Woman 1 & Woman 2 (30s-40s, Female): Fast-talking, assertive 1930s locals. High-energy character performers wanted!
* MC (30s-40s, Male): Dressed to the nines in a pinstripe suit, this high-energy MC runs the local jazz dance.
* Arthur & Dot (12-15, Any Gender): Cheeky, ragged 1930s school kids who love to roast outsiders.

Extras & Background Talent:
* Modern Tourists (All ages/genders): To view a blacksmith demonstration.
* 1930s School Kids (Ages 12–15): Disciplined students practicing cursive.
* 1930s Townspeople (All ages/genders): General background to fill out our historical world!
* 1930s Dance Hall Crowd & Band (All ages): Ready to dance the foxtrot! (Bonus points if you can hold/fake playing brass or upright bass instruments).
