🥳🎉 Celebrating a huge milestone for What's on Fraser Coast Magazine today. The magazine has officially reached 100 editions. A massive achievement for Kim who has spent the past nine years building this publication into the much-loved community resource it is.
As the graphic designer behind the magazine each month. I’ve seen first-hand the heart, dedication, and sheer stamina it takes to bring every issue to life. Kim does it all. Editor, writer, photographer, publisher, and everything in between. Her passion for the Fraser Coast community is what keeps this magazine thriving.
Thank you Kim for the lovely shoutout in your post. It’s a privilege to help bring each issue together and to be part of this milestone moment.

Congratulations Kim. Here’s to the next 100 editions and all the stories still to come.
🎉 WE MADE IT TO 100 EDITIONS! 🎉
The 100th edition of What's on Fraser Coast Magazine is out NOW — online and in print!
Reaching this milestone feels incredible. Over the past 9 years, this magazine has taken me on one big adventure, full of fun times, great events, and meeting amazing people from all walks of life. But behind the scenes it’s also been long hours, exhaustion, tears, and every emotion you can imagine.
Running a magazine as a one-woman show — editor, writer, photographer, publisher (and everything else!), is a tough gig. There’s no backup, no team to pass things to, and the buck always stops with me. And while it’s a full-time job, the hours never quite match the pay.
So why do I keep doing it?
Because I love this community. ❤️
This magazine was created to celebrate what makes the Fraser Coast shine — our events, gigs, exhibitions, new businesses, long-standing locals, and everything in between. I never realised just how needed a resource like this was until it grew into what it is today.
✨ A Few Heartfelt Thank Yous ✨
I would like to take a special moment to thank Ulf and Roo for helping me get this holiday edition distributed. They know how tough the last month has been in our household. While putting this edition together, my husband suffered a stroke, had major surgery, and spent a month in hospital. We are incredibly grateful that he is expected to make a full recovery.
To Ulf, Roo, and everyone who has helped us — distributing magazines, cooking meals, cleaning, mowing lawns — thank you. We are so lucky to live in such a caring, supportive community.
To our wonderful writers — Christian Berechree, Andrew Sadler, Tania Comerford, and Mayor George Seymour — thank you. Your contributions bring so much to the magazine, and I genuinely love reading your articles each month.
To our incredible advertisers, past and present — thank you for sticking with us and trusting us to promote your business. The relationships built along the way mean so much. This edition gives a special nod to some of our long-term advertisers.
A big thank you to our longest advertiser, the Hervey Bay Boat Club, for hosting our little celebratory photo shoot… which may have ended with a platter, cake, and a drink or three. A lovely way to finish the year!
Thank you to Jack West Photography for the cover and feature story images.
A huge shoutout to our talented graphic designer Jen Mulligan Design (who puts up with me month after month!) and to Sam Gould from Gould Marketing, who ensures our digital edition goes live on the website each month. I couldn’t do this without each of you.
And lastly, thank YOU — our readers. Your love for this magazine, especially in print, is what keeps me going.
This hasn’t been an easy year, but this final edition of 2025 is here. So make a cuppa, sit back, and turn the page.
