What do you do with a dingy laneway full of bins?

Turn it into a destination.

This alley hasn’t changed size.It hasn’t moved. But creative design transformed it from a forgotten service lane into a place people stop, photograph and share.

That’s the power of great design.

Good design doesn’t just make things look better. It changes how people experience a place.

📍Would you walk down this laneway?

Ever been sent a logo that’s too low resolution to use?

This one needed to be scaled up for signage, so I recreated it as a clean vector in Illustrator using the pen tool.

A couple of quick tips if you’re tracing:
✔ Use as few anchor points as possible
✔ Focus on smooth curves
✔ Slightly round corners to keep it looking natural

Takes a bit more time, but it means the logo can be used anywhere. From small prints to large signage without losing quality.

One of those behind-the-scenes jobs that makes a big difference 👍

The Difference Between a Template and a Brand

When I built the Paper Trail website, I didn’t just pick a Squarespace template and change the colours. I designed it with strategy. 🎯
Squarespace is a great platform but a template is only the framework.

It doesn’t consider:
🎨 Brand psychology
🧭 How visitors move through your site
📣 Clear positioning
📌 Strong calls to action

For Paper Trail, the goal was calm, clarity and control especially for Melbourne small business owners who already feel overwhelmed by numbers.

That meant:
🩵 Calm blue and teal tones to build trust
🧾 Clear service sections
🧩 Custom icons to simplify complex services
✨ Clean spacing to reduce visual noise

The biggest issue I see with DIY websites?
Multiple fonts. Random colours. Services buried in text.
It looks fine… but it doesn’t convert.
Templates are tools. Strategy is what makes them work.

Custom designed PowerPoint presentation using on brand templates for a consistent, professional look.

Before, the slides were inconsistent with mixed fonts and a cluttered layout. After, a clean, cohesive presentation that clearly communicates strategy.

I design PowerPoint presentations that match your brand and make your content easy to follow.

A strong brand isn’t just about looking good. It’s about being understood ✨

I’ve just finished creating a new brand look and feel for a bookkeeping business, with a focus on clarity, trust and approachability.

Bookkeeping can feel overwhelming, so the brand needed to feel calm, organised and human. Not corporate or intimidating.

The visual identity was built with purpose
📍 A dotted path for transactions, invoices and receipts
🔁 Looping elements to reflect BAS, reconciliations and payroll complexity
➡️ Directional movement to show process, compliance and order
✈️ A paper plane representing efficiency, accuracy and getting it sorted

Every element was chosen to quietly reinforce that message, because good design should make a business feel easier before the first conversation even starts.

If your brand no longer reflects how you work, it might be time for a refresh.

A fun little project that turned into something adorable! 🥕🌽🍅
I’ve been working on some GP Patch illustrations and turning them into stickers and heat transfer prints. Love how the colours pop and the transfers work perfectly on soft items and even uniforms!
It’s always satisfying seeing artwork jump off the screen and onto real products.
Such a cute project to play with! 🎨✨
