Futago

Futago Tasmanian storytellers and problem-solvers. Twenty years of brand conscious creativity. There is no such thing as a creativity in isolation.

Brand conscious creativity recognises that everything is connected for the brand and those who engage with it. We’re always conscious of the business problems that need solving and always conscious of the brand’s role in its market and its impact. Futago has expertise across a number of disciplines including brands, websites, campaigns, collaborations, packaging, publications, brand collateral, signage, public art, interpretation, wayfinding and environmental design.

The Futago team joined friends and collaborators from for 's Cooking for a Cause, a hands-on session at Crowne Plaza Hobart. We cooked with rescued ingredients as part of OzHarvest's first food rescue launch in Hobart.

The combined effort produced 85 ratatouilles and 75 curries, 160 nourishing meals delivered to AK Young Women's Emergency Accommodation, CatholicCare Tasmania, Salvation Army and Youth ARC. 80kg of food was rescued from landfill, and 80kg of CO₂ emissions were prevented in this session alone.

OzHarvest's mission to stop food waste, feed people in need and protect our planet has arrived in nipaluna/Hobart. We're glad to have been part of it.

winners for the Ten Days on the Island 2025 visual identity. This one was built on the real Tasmania, bioluminescent coastlines, UV-fluorescing marsupials and southern skies alive with the Aurora Australis.

Grateful to everyone who brought it to life.

Thank you to .kelly_ , and the whole team.

International Design Day 2026 focuses on The Spaces in Between

The space between design and personal experience can shape how we belong, communicate and coexist.

At Futago, we design for experience. To reframe perspectives, to guide, be memorable and playful.

From wayfinding to public art and environmental graphics, we design work that becomes part of the built environment – providing insights into history, culture, story and the natural qualities of place.

Projects featured included the following collaborators: Judith Abell, Chris Viney, Karen Larsen, Cumulus, Francis Burne, Marcus Tatton.

And photographers: Jasmin Latona, Sam Shelley, Jonathan Wherrett, Nina Hamilton, Luke Burgess, Sarah Rowlands, Ali Davis, Adam Gibson, Peter Mellows.

Futago is pleased to be the design partner for the inaugural Nipaluna / Hobart Readers and Writers Festival, 28 May–1 June.

Our quirky bookends reference the dual relationship between readers and writers. Can't have one without the other.

Produced by Tasmania’s leading literary organisation , the festival brings a focused program of conversations, readings, workshops and performance into the centre of Hobart, reflecting the diversity and creativity of Australian literary culture.

From established authors to emerging voices, and across art forms from poetry to graphic storytelling, there will be something for everyone.

We’re looking forward to it.

It’s always great to be recognised by your peers, but even more so when they’re judging your work at an international level.

We’ve had two of our projects recognised as Finalists as a part of the 2025 New Zealand DINZ Best Awards. The work wouldn't exist without clients, so this is a huge thank you to our brave and trusting clients who believe in creativity, design, and taking a deeply thoughtful, strategic approach to brand. Well done Aldous, Broden and Tang for bringing your talents to life through these projects.

TEN DAYS ON THE ISLAND This visually refreshing rebrand is a cultural statement. A celebration of the island’s magic. An invitation for audiences to look closer, lean in, and discover something unforgettable.

HOMEBASE. This new brand reflects and respects the voices of young Tasmanians. Home Base isn’t just a name change — it’s a signal of belonging, a rallying point for change, and a visible reminder that every young person deserves somewhere safe to live.

An inspiring evening at the 2025 Fearless Festival Gala Dinner with our Founder and Head of Design, Kate Owen, joined by Salve Reina, Laura Purcell, Sophie Bence, and Lana East.

Fearless Festival Tasmania is a two-day careers expo for girls considering their futures after school, providing a safe space to explore pathways in industries that have traditionally been male-dominated.

At Futago, we’re proud to support causes that matter. For the past seven years, we’ve donated our time as their Design Partner, helping to grow the event’s impact and reach. Formerly known as the Women’s Forum, the name change to Fearless Festival was made on our recommendation to reflect its diversity, growth, and bold outcomes. It was inspiring to hear keynote speakers reflect on fearlessness through the lens of their own career journeys. A big thank you to Mick Wickham for starting and driving this great initiative.

Here’s to creating fearless futures.
