We had a full team get together this week to farewell our Digital Specialist Henry Burrows.

He has been working remotely from the Northern Rivers area of NSW in recent times and has landed a plumb job up there - which suits him down to the ground.

We are really pleased for him and wish him the very best - even though we're going to miss him. We have loved working with the big guys these past 5 years or so.

Henry came to us to help us out at a busy time doing pretty much anything we threw at him - including being used in story boards - sorry Henry!

Over time he has developed into a gun digital media specialist and trusted advisor for our clients. We are really going to miss his sage advice.

So here's to Henry, a guy we knew working behind a bar that became integral to our digital transformation at Cor Comms. So great to work with, always relaxed and up for a laugh.

It was fun having the full team in the one place for a couple of days to say goodbye properly. Shooters on a school night are always a great idea?

Best of luck 'Big H!' 😢🫶🙌

Our Art Director Nat Hiller was a finalist in the recent National Emerging Art Prize, and our resident Sydney local Ruta came along to celebrate with him!

Nat’s painting “Southerly Change” was one of the 38 painting finalists, which are on display in the Sydney Botanical Gardens gallery until November 6.

Congratulations Nat!

Last week was momentous for Cor Comms and in particular Craig Harding who joined us in Tasmania to celebrate his last days with the business after 21 years, having moved to the Gold Coast early last year. We held a farewell party with clients and suppliers close to Craig and we got to spend time with him at a golf range. The sledging was on point, but the golf skills - not so much - hats off the Henry for pipping Nick and Nat for the longest drive.

Craig has taught us all so much about marketing, branding, advertising and the best practice approaches that underpin 'excellence' in our business today - a theme we heard a lot last week in the many conversations had. He has been instrumental in shaping the diverse business we have today and he can be very proud of the hundreds of campaigns that have had a huge impact on Tasmania and Tasmanians - from bushfire awareness, public health messaging and job recruitment to name a few.

We will continue to work with Craig as a contractor from Queensland and we're glad about that! It's a new chapter for Craig and his family and we know that their strength and love will see them bound ahead with new adventures and exciting opportunities. Put simply, thank you Craig.

Do you have a passion for storytelling and an eye for detail?

We are seeking a casual reporter for our community newspapers.

If you are a final year journalism student or recent graduate looking to make a great start to your career, then we want to hear from you.

We require someone up to two days a week to work with our community newspaper team to produce The Eastern Shore Sun, Hobart Observer and Glenorchy Gazette newspapers.

This will be a great first step in your career to sharpen your writing skills with a gun writing team and work with the Cor Comms crew – who are pretty fun to hang with.

To apply email your resume and a one page maximum cover letter [email protected] by Wednesday 20th August.

Only a few days to go before our Managing Director Adrian sleeps rough to raise money for Vinnie’s CEO Sleep Out.

“I’m taking the opportunity to experience a night of sleeping rough to ultimately raise money so Vinnies can help vulnerable Tasmanians. I’ll also be using the experience to keep the fire burning to help Vinnies into the future. I’ve seen the work they do firsthand, and to say that it is critical is an understatement. They do much with so little and they can always do more. Donations are very much needed – so donate!”

This winter, I'll be raising money for people experiencing homelessness in my city. Click here to help me have the biggest impact I can by supporting the Vinnies CEO Sleepout today. Your donation will help the St Vincent de Paul Society provide housing, food and empowering support to the people who....

Our Managing Director Adrian Smith is participating in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout in June. We'd love you to throw your support behind him and this very important cause as we head into another Tasmanian winter. Vinnies volunteers do incredible work on the very front line of the cost-of-living crisis. Donate today!
