Mark Bouris review: Help shape the successor to Business Connect | The NSW Government has announced that it will provide a new advisory service for small businesses.

The service, a successor to the previous Business Connect program, will provide specialist advice to help small business owners build practical skills to run and grow their business.

Entrepreneur Mark Bouris AM, with support from the Service NSW Business Bureau, will lead a comprehensive 90-day review into the needs and priorities of small businesses.

The review will examine the core foundational and specialist skills needed by small business owners, the common challenges small businesses face and key industries requiring additional support.

To ensure the service reflects the needs of small businesses across different industries, business stages and locations, the NSW Government is asking small business owners to have your say on the key supports the new advisory service should include.

Stakeholders, including peak bodies, business chambers and local councils, are also encouraged to contribute to the consultation.

The Small Business Commission will also provide input to this review.

Mark Bouris AM is an Australian entrepreneur and innovator with decades of business experience, best known for founding Wizard Home Loans, Yellow Brick Road and hosting The Apprentice Australia.

The review is due to be presented to the NSW Government in May 2026.

This consultation is open until 11:59pm, Sunday 19 April 2026.
