Cambria County High School Football Scores – Week 1 Recap
Last night was a showcase of grit, rivalry, and high-flying action across Cambria County. Here’s how the local teams performed on opening night of the 2025 season:
Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference (LHAC) Results:
• Bishop Guilfoyle rolled over Penns Valley, 42–18. 
• Central (Ebensburg) fell to Philipsburg-Osceola, 24–48. 
• Central Cambria dropped their opener to Richland, 6–21.  
• Chestnut Ridge defeated Greater Johnstown, 27–6. 
• Forest Hills dominated Westmont Hilltop, 42–13. 
• Penn Cambria stayed unbeaten with a 50–10 victory over Somerset. 
Heritage Conference:
• Cambria Heights opened with a win against United Valley, 22–15. 
• Homer Center edged Northern Cambria, 24–21. 
• Marion Center crushed Conemaugh Valley, 45–6. 
• Penns Manor was shut out by River Valley, 0–33. 
• Purchase Line lost to Conemaugh Township, 6–29. 
• West Shamokin fell to Portage, 7–18. 
District IX / Other Region Matchups (involving Cambria teams):
• Glendale was defeated by Windber, 20–38. 
• Everett took down West Branch, 34–12.
