Planning a launch event can be exciting yet overwhelming. Here are some key steps to ensure your event is a success:

1๏ธโƒฃ Define Your Goals: Know what you want to achieve. Are you wanting more people to buy your book? Stock your book? Refer your product to friend? Follow your adventures online? Enlist others to spread a message?

2๏ธโƒฃ Choose the Right Venue: Pick a location that fits the bookโ€™s theme. For something intimate on a small budget you could hire a cottage or room in your local library.

3๏ธโƒฃ Create a Budget: Outline all potential expenses and any foreseeable last minute costs. Think about travel to and from venue, food, marketing and costs you may incur after the event is over. Yes, most people forget this part. Are you planning on using a digital platform to collect feedback or send a 'thank you note'? This may come at an additional cost!

4๏ธโƒฃ Set a Date and Time: Make sure itโ€™s convenient for your audience. Also consider the weather and if any other events are taking place within close proximity which ay effect parking transport or visibility of launch.

5๏ธโƒฃ Plan the Program: Decide on readings, Q&A sessions, and more. Then, rehearse with your MC!

6๏ธโƒฃ Promote the Event: Use social media, emails, and collaborations.

7๏ธโƒฃ Design Engaging Visuals: Create eye-catching promotional materials. Create collateral to promote (before event), then to engage (during event) and to convert (after event) to ensure you maximise all opportunities.

We had the pleasure of planning Bel Vidal's book launch on Sunday at Lillian Garden Fraser Garden Cottage.

"Kelly planned and managed the launch of my book "Exuberance" and (seemingly effortlessly) turned it into a magical event and an unforgettable experience not just for me but for everyone who attended. I could not have hoped for a better event planner, and cannot recommend Kelly highly enough."

Bel's incredible speech shared the story that inspired the novel of being diagnosed with bipolar 25 years ago, and how she built a good, productive and successful life in the aftermath with the help of an amazing circle of support. Bel is now a mental health advocate and encourages orhers to share their experiences to help .

We were humbled by the acknowledgement in her speech and incredibly proud to see a friend achieve her goals.

We developed this brand proposal for a new client, Jane. Jane is a talented copywriter and influential blogger in the disability sector. We discussed why it is important to have consistent messaging and a unique brand, and decided to develop a brand mood board to help finesse her vision.

These boards help clients 'feel' their brand. It gives them an opportunity to see a snippet of what is to come and to share feedback, so the final brand aligns exactly with their needs. At the very least, these boards are a great starting point for brainstorming the bigger picture... what do you guys think?
