Cathy has led an amazingly diverse life, and is a true creative at heart. Surviving leukaemia, Cathy turned her hand to writing. Her new website showcases her soon to be released book, and includes details on her current writing projects, as well as a free to download version of her book, "Dainty Diva: Exploring the life and times of Australian singer Dorothy Rudder".

You'll also find links to her short stories, which are also free to download, including her mother's moving memories of living in Holland during WW2 and articles about her photography from the 1980s.

A MASSIVE congratulations to The Oyster Province on their recent wins at The delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards 2019 which focus on outstanding Australian produce and producers.

The Oyster Province angasi native oyster was awarded a Gold Medal in the 'From the Sea' division, and the producers were awarded the Alla Wolf-Tasker Good Food Matters Scholarship – which will be used for educational travel; Yvonne & Steve intend to travel internationally to meet with other native oyster growers to share learnings.

The Oyster Province are well deserving of these awards; developing the commercial production of the native angasi oyster, in deep water, over the last decade; not only have they explored and developed a unique deep-water oyster growing system, they have re-introduced a delicious native food to our tables.

We LOVE seeing where hard work and perseverance pays off for our clients. (And oyster farming is most certainly hard work!) It shows that small businesses can eventually get the recognition they deserve!

There is a very common fear which can result in mistakes, miscommunication, and missed opportunity.

A fear that once you learn to overcome, opens doors to further your understanding, improve communication and results in better outcomes.

What is that fear? The fear of appearing stupid, or unintelligent, by asking a question that we should probably know the answer to, but we don't.

But we aren't all specialists in everything. And even specialists don't know everything.

Be confident to ASK! It's okay not to know. Get into discussion! Be confident to tell someone you don't know! You may be surprised how much people like to support you when you ask!

Never be afraid to ask questions....

Real intelligence lies in how you use what you now know to make the connections that will solve for the need at hand.

I attended a session today on mindfulness.

This evening I went home, lay on the lawn and looked up at the sky.

It's true. We did this so often as kids but rarely do we take these moments as adults.

So, when was the last time you took this time to lay back and look at the sky?

I challenge you to try it, and let me know if you found it as invigorating as I did.

Why not share if you've discovered some other ways to focus yourself and take some time out to just breathe.

As we leave 2017 behind, and get ready to leap into 2018, we reminisce on our achievements, and consider all the things we should probably have done this year.
