Over time, my work has changed - slower, deeper, more intentional - and Design Alchemy is the name that fits it now.
I’m keeping this space as it is, as a record of the work and relationships that came before, while moving forward under a new name and a new way of working.

Hello everyone 😊
I wanted to personally update you on some changes happening with Designer in Your Pocket.
After more than two decades, I’m preparing to close DIYP and transition into a new creative chapter.

This shift has been in the works for a while, but in the coming months, my energy will also be needed elsewhere as I take on additional family responsibilities - so it felt like the perfect time to make this transition.

During this time
• I'll continue to provide support for website updates and maintenance, as well as ongoing hosting.
• Print management will continue along with minor design updates if required.
However:
• I won’t be starting new projects, except in a few limited cases.
• If you have an open or unfinished project with me, I’ll ensure it’s completed smoothly.
• If you need new design or web work other than updates before July - or if you’d prefer to transition to another designer - I can recommend trusted professionals and facilitate a seamless handover.

Between now and July, I’ll also be preparing for the next stage of my work, which I look forward to introducing to you soon.

For those I’ll continue working with, you can expect the same support and care - just within a new framework and brand.

Wrapping Up 2024 at Designer in Your Pocket
As we wind down towards our Christmas break, we’re fully booked for the rest of the year.
A few spots are currently available for new projects starting mid-February 2025, but they won’t last long.

One of our fave clients, Preston Fresh Seafood Cairns is hosting Caviar Taste Testing in Cairns on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th June!

These days our time seems always to be on offer and you're expected to be available anytime, all the time, making it challenging to be fully present while getting the actual work done!
I've had this cute little acronym on a post-it lately as a gentle reminder.

After we created Moniques logo, we set about creating her unique website.

Creating from scratch, not with templates, gives us the ability to build a website specifically for the brand and the functionality required, ensuring an optimum user experience for site visitor and users.

Monique's site is simple, yet effective in showcasing her brand story. It guides visitors through all they need to know, then provides a selection of contact methods and the ability to jump right in and book a session with Monique.
