Have you thought about the fabric of your workwear? It can be hard to choose! It comes down to personal preference but there are a few considerations to keep in mind.
Polyester and cotton differ mainly in durability, comfort, and performance for workwear. Polyester is a synthetic fibre that is highly durable, doesn't fade as much, wrinkle-resistant, and quick-drying, making it ideal for demanding or outdoor environments. Modern polyester workwear has evolved significantly, with brands like Stormtech, Aussie Pacific and Biz Collection using advanced fabrics that are breathable, moisture-wicking, and often feature anti-bacterial or odour-resistant treatments to keep wearers cool, dry, and fresh throughout the day. Cotton, on the other hand, is a natural fibre that is soft and breathable, offering excellent comfort but in hot conditions it absorbs moisture (sweat), takes longer to dry, and can be prone to shrinking and wrinkling. As a result, many modern workwear garments blend polyester and cotton to combine the toughness and performance of polyester with the comfort and breathability of cotton.
