We’re shaking things up this week!

With Show Day happening this Thursday, we asked the team whether they’d rather take Thursday off or turn it into a long weekend.

The answer? A long weekend, of course! 😂

So, we’ll be working away like busy bees on Thursday 8 October, then closed on Friday 9 October.

We’ll be back at it on Monday, feeling refreshed and ready to go!

Ii Hanashi Izakaya opens to the public today!

An awesome izakaya (think laneway bar vibes with shareable plates you'll want to keep coming back for 🍻) from the team behind Du Cane Brewing. Congrats to our mates Sam, Ollie and the whole crew of legends who brought this place to life.

Specially brewed l***r, killer ramen, and snacks that don't miss (karaage chicken for the win). We couldn't convince Rob to try the karaoke room this time, but we'll get him in there eventually 😉

Did you know that Meta is quietly testing a rule that could cut off your traffic from Facebook? 🔗

If you run a page or use professional mode and aren't Meta Verified, you may soon be limited to just 2 organic posts with external links per month 📅

What still works for impacted pages: affiliate links, and links to Instagram/WhatsApp - for now.
The only workaround? Subscribing to Meta Verified/One (tier options/pricing at the end of this reel).

It's a limited test that has hit only a few of the pages we work on, so it's not a confirmed global rollout yet - but it is spreading fast.

We started the week off by celebrating Taihlaura's birthday!

We're so lucky to have this absolute powerhouse on our team, and we know her clients appreciate her warmth and energy just as much as we do.

A big thanks to our very own Jordan, who baked a delicious sponge cake filled with some of Taihlaura's favourite things — Nutella and raspberries! 🍰

While the rest of the world watched the 2026 FIFA World Cup reach its epic climax, the Kingthing team wrapped up a tournament of our own... and let’s just say “the beautiful game” took a serious hit.

🥇 1st Place: Nick (held his nerve in a penalty shootout)
🥈 2nd Place: Jordan
🥉 3rd Place: Carley

Turns out none of us will be called up for the national team anytime soon, but we definitely won the trophy for having fun!
