In another bid to compete with Tiktok, instagram is hinting at opening up organic reach again on the platform.

Tiktok is popular so popular because you can reach hundreds and thousands of people from posts without paying for ads.

Instagram started with high organic reach which allowed poeple to connect with heaps of people organically. Then over time, then choked the organic reach to force people to pay for ads to connect with other.

Now because Tiktok has taken so much market share, Instagram is considering opening organic reach again to keep users on the platform.

Big changes are coming. In the wake of Tiktok's success, instagram are making big changes to compete.

One of which is allowing swipe up links stories for everyone. At the moment, you have to have 10k+ followers have swipe up links allowed on your stories.

Enableing brands to have swipe up links and get more conversions for the platform will help instagram keep people and brands on the platform rather than move to Tiktok.
