What an amazing long weekend of gigs at Ragnarok Entertainment..
Slam powerhouse Hysterectomy and melodic Death Metal weapons Snake Mountain toured from Newcastle down to Wollongong and then up to Sydney to Headline with brutal Death Metal titans Anoxia at our first ever festival Putrefest 2025! Joined along the way by some killer support acts in I Hate People, Gulge, Dead By Dawn, DeathFeeder, Virescent and Thraxas! (Band)! Thank you all for your professionalism and dedication to making this unforgettable. From load in Friday to load out Monday and all the laughs, food, drinks, moshpits and hangovers in between.. it was great to meet you all and i cant wait to see you all again, share a stage with you all and party with you all in the future!
To say this whole weekend was a dream come true is a massive understatement and wouldnt have been possible without some really awesome people..
Big thanks to the venues that made this possible The Hamilton Station Hotel, Diamond Dogs Music Lounge & Bar and Crowbar Sydney... all the bar staff, security, management and in particular Spencer Scott, Liam Hewitt, Neil Townsend, Thnvir Gill, Jake and the Crowbar bookings team.
If you enjoyed any of the amazing artwork from the Newcastle and Wollongong events the artwork was created by the super professional Ben Hosking of Hosking Industries and our gloriously putrid Putrefest Logo and Artwork was created by the extremely talented legends over at Grindhead Productions.
Massive thanks to everyone associated with Ragnarok who helped out along the way from the Legendary Dynamic Duo Kyle Creighton and Ned Cooper to our awesome photographers Dino la Rouge , Bobmetallicafreak Productions, Tim Bottomley and Jess Ashdoown of Capture The Sound Photography, our masterful lighting op Shane "Swanee" Thompson and my glorious partner in crime Ben Tobox who ensures everything continues running smoothly when its time for me to enjoy a few drinks at the end of the mission.
Special shoutouts go out to Matt McIntyre and Dino for handling business in Wollongong whilst I stepped out to enjoy Wardruna at the Enmore and to my boys in Dead By Dawn who didnt bust my balls for missing merch table duties and those beautiful human beings Craig Cameron Bailey, Ross Brodie and Joshua Jonathan of T-Rex Autopsy for all their support and help when packing up and heading home at the death.
And the one person i could not have possibly managed this without.. My Wife (i hear those Hysterectomy boys every time i say this now LOL) Catherine Thoroughgood... There is no way in hell this could have happened without you! Thank you so much for putting up with my endless bu****it, surviving my endless gig talk, dealing with me when i was stressed, understanding when i was busy with Ragnarok and for pushing me to never give up when things got tough and doubt crept in. I Love You Crang!!
