When we start our business, we like to throw ourselves headlong into work. In the process, some of us make a few little mistakes that you can avoid - because you are smarter than that 😉
1️⃣ KNOW YOUR IDEAL CLIENT
"When you try to speak to everyone, you will end up speaking to nobody." It's fine if you are not 100% clear on your niche, but get clear on who you want to speak to.
2️⃣ SET SPECIFIC GOALS AND FOCUS
In order to move the needle, we have to be laser-focused on ideally only 1-2 things. If we try to handle it all at once, it takes a long time until we get anywhere.
3️⃣ REMEMBER YOUR SKILLS + STRENGTHS
You are rich of skills, experiences and things you can already bring to the table. Sit down, make your plan and be clear on what you need now to move the needle and what is a nice to have but you don't need to do immediately.
For example: If you are building a website its great to show portfolio pieces, but each portfolio piece does not need its own page to explain the project yet. Launch and get out now!
4️⃣ CREATE YOUR PACKAGE
This comes back a bit to the focus again - if you try to please everyone with their unique demands and needs, it will get really hard to meet them all and you will loose valuable time trying to offer zillions of things and it only leaves your clients confused. Try to stick to max 3 offers in one category.
