This PETG part has been reinforced with a carbon fibre PET core to improve strength. Designed as two separate pieces in Fusion 360 and reassembled in the slicing software, the parts were assigned different materials to suit their requirements - a strong rigid inner core, and a white, non-abrasive outer surface. Both materials used a 100% concentric infill pattern to ensure the maximum longitudinal strength possible to reduce the chances of failure where the ring joins the shaft.

For 3D printing in resin this has to be the best thing since sliced bread! I found this little beauty .com.au and it has become an indispensable part of our resin printing operations. Created by it allows the curing of resin inside printed parts using a UV led on a probe. It can be set to 1 minute or 10 minutes cure time or run indefinitely.
