Working where "just down the road" can mean a few hundred kilometres.
Roadside Services and Solutions (RSS) recently completed guardrail repair works for Downer across 10 locations on the Eyre Peninsula, extending all the way to the South Australia and Western Australia border.
With two experienced crew members, one RSS truck, and all equipment and materials onboard (including our Pauselli rock-breaking machine), the team successfully replaced damaged guardrail, posts and end terminals in just seven days.
Standing at the eastern edge of the Nullarbor Plain, it's easy to be reminded that this is a place where the scenery is spectacular, the distances are enormous and popping out for forgotten supplies simply isn't an option!
These repairs restore critical roadside safety infrastructure damaged by vehicle impacts and help keep road users safe along one of Australia's most iconic stretches of road.
No matter how remote the location, RSS is ready to get the job done.

A frightening incident unfolded in Adelaide today when a vehicle entered a laneway leading towards Rundle Mall, one of the busiest pedestrian areas in the state. The outcome could have been catastrophic, but the Energy Absorbing Bollards (EAB60) installed by Roadside Services and Solutions stopped the vehicle in its tracks, protecting the hundreds of people nearby.

We’re relieved the driver sustained only minor injuries, and we commend Adelaide City Council for their proactive investment in pedestrian‑protection infrastructure. Today, that foresight prevented a tragedy.

We’re proud that our equipment played a role in keeping the community safe.

We’re excited to share a recent project completed by Roadside Services and Solutions at Hallett Cove South Primary School!
Our team has replaced the old timber pedestrian ramp with a new galvanised steel access ramp that meets DDA requirements and Australian Standards. The upgrade improves safety, accessibility and long term durability for students, staff and visitors.
Working with Ventia through the AGFMA program and the SA Department for Education, our civil and engineering crews handled everything from demolition and concrete footings to steel fabrication, GRP flooring and handrails, all built in house at our Lonsdale workshop.
The new ramp is a great addition to the school precinct and supports future access needs for the growing community.

Our Engineering and Civil Works teams have been busy delivering a custom boundary security screen solution for a local residential client, and we’re proud of the result.
The project included designing, fabricating and installing two large overhead screens using Stratco Ezi Slat aluminium blades and galvanised steel framing, all built to government and Australian Standards.
A big shout out to our hardworking team and the fantastic local businesses who supported the project. Together, we’ve created a strong, safe and great looking screening solution that gives the homeowner extra privacy and peace of mind.

We’re proud to share that our team has completed a major security fence upgrade at St Agnes Primary School.
Working with Ventia and the Department for Education, we replaced the old fencing with a modern, safe and great looking new system, including new access gates and preparation for an automated sliding gate.
A huge thank you to our hardworking crew and the fantastic local businesses who supported the project. The upgrade gives the school community improved safety, better site access and a fresh new look around the boundary.

🚧 Project delivered! 🚧
The Roadside Services and Solutions civils team has successfully completed the staff car park redevelopment at Wandana Primary School, Gillies Plains South Australia.
Managed by Ventia Australia under the AGFMA program for the Department for Education, the project included pavement reconstruction, fencing upgrades, drainage works, boom gate installation, and line marking, all improving safety and access for staff and students.

🌟 Celebrating International Women’s Day at Roadside! 🌟
We’re excited to welcome two fantastic new team members to our South Australia signs manufacturing division — Lena Regan and Allison Henry!
Their arrival couldn’t be better timed as we celebrate International Women’s Day, recognising the contribution, capability, and leadership of women across Roadside.
Lena brings more than 20 years of hands on experience in customer service, site supervision, and small business operations.
Allison joins us from Lyon, France, with qualifications in graphic design and communication management, plus a diverse background across hospitality, agriculture, manufacturing, and logistics.
They join an already incredible group of women shaping Roadside’s culture and performance across SA and NT — from leadership to the factory floor, from emergency response to customer service.

Safety has been significantly improved for locals travelling along Rogers Road in Myponga, thanks to newly completed guardrail and batter remediation works delivered by Roadside Services and Solutions (RSS). Rogers Road is a steep, unsealed farming road that crosses the Myponga River, and heavy rain has long caused erosion, flooding and reduced visibility at the culvert crossing. Working with the Council of Yankalilla, our civil works team repaired damaged batters, installed rock armour for long term protection, reinstated the gravel road surface and installed new W Beam guardrails on both sides of the crossing. The upgrade now provides clear visual and physical delineation for road users, especially during wet weather or at night, while maintaining full road width for local farming traffic. A big thank you to council for its collaboration and to our hardworking team who delivered the project safely, efficiently and within budget.

🚧 Bespoke bollards installed at Adelaide Airport! ✈️
Our RSS Engineering team has delivered a custom stainless steel bollard replacement on Level 2 of the Adelaide Airport multi-storey car park.
With no drawings, no sample bollard, and strict rules around the suspended concrete slab, our team engineered a safe, compliant, and high quality solution, plus manufactured four spare bollards for future use.
A big thank you to Warrick Stirling for leading fabrication and installation, supported by our Civil Engineering team for concept design and CAD work.
