October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we're doing our little bit in our community to make sure the McGrath Foundation nurses remain on hand to help those going through difficult times. Any support no matter how big makes a massive difference. 💕

We're so proud to be co-hosting our biennial Smash Cancer tennis tournament again in 2022 with Pioneer Tennis. If we can raise thousands of dollars for the McGrath Foundation in 2020, surely we can smash this out of the park in 2022. Anyone wanting to be involved or would like to support our amazing event, please reach out. If you can't play tennis, but you love the game, this event is for you... it's all about fun and raising funds. We don't know about you, but we've been directly effected by Breast Cancer, so let's hit the court and raise some funds... 💕

We live in a time of “Influencers” who promote brands and products for a living and by all accounts, some of them make a very good living. But as a 40 something year old, I guess I’m what you would consider “old school”. I believe in giving a shout out to brands and products just because they’re good, not because there is anything 'in it' for me.

Plus, it’s Friday, so why not share the love and appreciation for a good product or service… no tags, no ulterior motives, no gimmicks. 😊

So great to see Mackay kids on a national stage smashing out performances such at this!! Blake is a past student of Bucasia State School and has since relocated to the Gold Coast. Here's Blakes winning 200m race at the Australian Track & Field Championships this week (running from lane 7). Well done Blake - such an awesome talent with a big future 🙌.
A big shout out to Toby from Mackay Northern Beaches State High School who also competed in the 800m & 1500m. Toby will come home to Mackay with valuable experience and should be extremely proud to have represented Queensland at a national level. Well done Toby 👌.

Another great design arranged by us for Pioneer Tennis in Mackay. Always great to see Junior Tennis Clubs taking a professional approach and creating that point of difference from other Clubs and players out on court. We look forward to following the success of the Pioneer Tennis Squad players in 2021.

Our inaugural ‘Smash Cancer Tennis Tournament’ was a huge success, especially amid a year of uncertainty, restrictions on numbers at events & tightening budgets. The Mackay tennis community jumped behind this event and together, we all did our little bit to support the fight against Breast Cancer.

I jumped on our local event hire company website (Fiesta Rentals) to order some items for this weekend's 'Smash Cancer Tennis Tournament'. When scrolling through to see if there is anything else I can pick up, I noticed their "Groom Service" menu item 👉 http://www.fiestarentals.bounce.com.au/groom-service/4594508182

Awesome day down at the Rumble on the Reef 2020 - Wakeboarding at the WakeHouse Cable Park - Mackay. Local rider Jake Turner killed it out there today!! Great to see so many people out supporting a great event and a big shout out to all those who travelled to Mackay to compete.
