🤝 What makes someone with 14 years of BNI experience choose one chapter over another?
When we welcomed David Cook from Adaptable IT into Biz Masters, we asked him exactly that.
David has been involved in BNI since 2012.
He’s been an Ambassador.
He’s been a Launch Director.
He’s helped launch multiple BNI chapters.
He’s held almost every role in the room.
He’s visited chapters more than twice the size of ours.
So when David told us why he chose Biz Masters, we listened.
He noticed the follow-up.
He noticed the engagement.
He noticed that people were actually doing their roles well.
And he noticed something else.
He could see himself simply being a member.
As David put it:
“I know I can come into this chapter and I can be a member.”
For someone with his experience, he said that was unusual.
He also mentioned something we didn't expect.
He'd been reading our social media posts.
Not just occasionally.
He said this was the first chapter where he'd actually found himself following the social content and reading it every time.
That might sound like a small thing.
But to us, it says something much bigger.
A strong chapter isn't built by one person.
It's built when everyone does their part.
As David said:
“We all may be a cog in the machine, but it's all of us working together that makes this great.”
And that's exactly what we're trying to build at Biz Masters.
Not the biggest chapter.
Not simply the most people in the room.
But a group of business owners who show up, follow through, support each other and genuinely want to see the people around them succeed.
