👉️ The Challenge: Reframing Foster Care
Every week, Anglicare receives more than 100 requests to provide a safe home for a child in crisis. Yet it is still so hard to find good homes and families to care and love these kids. We worked with Anglicare to develop a campaign that would reframe foster care in our audiences minds – from fear to empowerment. We wanted to show the beauty, the possibility, and the challenge that comes from loving a child who needs it.

We crafted a campaign that was inspired by the famous verses found in 1 Corinthians 13: Love is patient, love is kind. The messaging captures this call to love, showing that foster parents need not be experts, they just need to know how to love. With this in mind, we developed a series of videos and posters that capture the dark and light of life in a foster family. From providing shelter in the storm, to learning a TikTok dance 💃🕺

St Peter’s Anglican Church, Cremorne is nestled in the leafy neighbourhood of Cremorne, Sydney. They came to us looking to create a new visual identity that reflects their warm community and rich liturgical services.

We created a logo and visual system inspired by stained glass windows – a symbol of illumination and hope. The design within the window is made up of images and symbols which represent the community in Cremorne – the cross of Christ at the centre, leaves of the suburb, and radiating lines representative of the organ and rejoicing together.

We had so much fun dreaming and creating this visual identity. Enjoy!

Design is the face of your brand. It is a large component of creating engagement with your target audience.
So, we thought we'd give a few tips on the basics of graphic design!

1: Mood board
Don't be afraid to search for inspiration.
Find designs that use elements (font, colour, imagery) to convey a similar vibe to your brand.
Pinterest is your friend!

2: White space
Your design doesn't need to be filled to every corner. Let the negative space (space in your design where there is no design) speak for itself and draw attention to the focal point.

3: Hierarchy
Highlight what information is most important through hierarchy. Vary font sizes, colours, and icons to create natural hierarchy.

4: Icons
Icons help to convey meaning more quickly and universally than words can.

5: Consistency is KING
Build brand recognition by being consistent in your colours, fonts and styles.
It doesn't mean you can't be creative - but having a defining style creates trust for your audience.
