This is me, at my desk, at my home in beautiful Maleny.

Photos of my kids in the background. Art posters on the wall. This is my happy place. A space where I come up with ideas on how I can help small businesses with their marketing needs. A space where I can put those ideas into motion.

Close to two and a half years ago, I decided to leave agency life to focus on small, Sunshine Coast businesses, who typically couldn't afford marketing agencies.

They also couldn't afford an in-house marketer, and tried to do their own marketing, here and there, when they could squeeze it in.

Sound familiar? Yeah, this is still absolutely the case.

Marketing your business is still one of the most important things for your business. And it often gets the least attention. Mostly because business owners need to focus on what it is that they do best - run their business. They don't have the time or the capacity to add marketing to the long list of things that businesses need to run day to day.

After over a decade in the marketing field, both here in Aus and back in South Africa, I am lucky enough to have a wide range of fabulous humans who work with me at Von Black Studios. Designers, web developers, copywriters, photographers, videographers, and branding experts.
