*CLIENT SHOWCASE: We recently wrapped up a beautiful web design project for // a digital marketing agency that serves health and fitness brands 🫶🏽
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our client wanted a website that embodied elegance, minimalism, and sophistication while also coming across as a leader in the industry, reliable, and trustworthy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We started by researching the top health and fitness brands, analyzing their websites, and identifying what made them stand out. Then, we took that inspo along with their branding to create a design that was sleek, modern, and oh-so sophisticated 😌
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The color palette is bold yet feminine, with shades of red and neutrals that evoked feelings of strength and passion, while the typography was clean and simple, making it easy to read and navigate.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We also made sure the website was user-friendly, with clear calls-to-action, easy navigation, and fast load times. All while embodying their brand essence and designing a website that resonates and speaks to their dream clients 🌹

Okay gals, for any female biz owners out there who are in a lil social media slump // I’ve written down my key takeaways from a recent call with my beautiful biz coach 🫶🏽 creative juices have been flowing ever since so hope this helps someone else out there ✨

+ Niche down as much as possible and continue to ask your audience what they want/need so you’re not wasting time producing irrelevant content

+ Your personal brand is your strongest asset, and ultimately what sets you apart from the rest! Be authentic and sincere in your energy and delivery, and you will start to build trust and connection with your audience (who will then turn into clients/customers!)

- Don’t underestimate the power of language. Speak in simple terms and make it easy for your audience to understand and engage w your message / offerings.

E.g. “I help small biz owners by building beautiful websites” vs. “I help small biz owners command attention online through strategy-led web design that connects and converts their dream clients” 👀

- Allow your audience the OPPORTUNITY to buy from you. Don’t be shy, continue to talk about your services and how you can provide value/support and eventually your audience will associate you as a leader and expert in your industry

Oh, February, you little devil, you. This month really challenged me to look inward and I found myself grappling with imposter syndrome like it was a full-time job. Doubting my skills and expertise and questioning whether I was cut out for this world of creative design.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But, as they say, the struggle is real. Imposter syndrome is a common experience, especially for those of us starting out in our careers (it me, former corporate gal turned freelance web designer) 🤠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I had to make a shift and started to mindfully consume content that would uplift and empower me, and remind myself that my clients had chosen to work with me because they saw value in what I offered.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Of course, there was definitely a little bit of the old 'fake it till you make it' dance going on as well, but one thing this month did give me was greater clarity of my strengths and weaknesses and confidence in my abilities. I learned to trust my instincts and to listen to my client's needs and feedback. I also reached out to other designers and biz owners for support and advice and discovered a sense of community and belonging 🥹Who knew that networking was actually kind of fun? Lol
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, thank you, February, for the trials and tribulations. I may have cursed your name a few times, but in the end, you were just what I needed to take my biz journey to the next level. Now, onto March!

Alright, it’s time to shake that icky imposter syndrome 🥴 and no, we haven’t found a permanent solution to ridding it forever…but there are a few tried and true practices that come in handy when we’re dealing with self doubt in business.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
01. Embracing your uniqueness
- we hear it time and time again, but there really is no one quite like you. If you’re struggling to find your place or belonging in your industry, just remember that you’re greatest asset is your unique story and the qualities that make you, you. People gravitate to relatable stories first, so just keep showcasing the incredible person that you are.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
02. Surround yourself with positivity
- from friends and family, to professional networking and community, whoever you allow into your circle matters. Make space for people who encourage, empower and challenge you to be the best you that you can be 🫶🏽
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
03. Celebrate successes
- sooo important to stop and recognise your achievements along the way, big or small. Starting a business takes courage and determination to build something you believe in. Choosing to start, is a success in itself and by reflecting on your accomplishments, you’ll realise just how far you’ve come and how exciting the journey ahead of you is.

So friends, when that fraud-like feeling makes an appearance, take a beat. Remember who you are and why you love what you do, connect with your people who bring positivity and value into your life, and reflect on your journey to remind yourself of the beautiful and wonderful things you’ve achieved. You have so much to offer, let’s not forget it ⚡️
