Okay so I’ve been very quiet online lately and now you know why. I’ve been a busy, tired gal growing a little human that’s arriving very soon. 🤍

I’ll be honest, stepping away from Silk has been such a scary thought. Building this business over the past 5 years, it can feel like you’re walking away from everything. But I remind myself that the hard work and passion I’ve poured into this brand was also so I could have the flexibility to one day have a family and be present for it when that time came.

I was a little worried sharing this news because I thought people would take their business elsewhere once they found out I was becoming a mum. I soon realised that was my own insecurity because my clients and potential clients have been SO supportive. Most of them mums themselves, sharing their words of wisdom, excitement and reassurance - which honestly just reflects the community I’ve attracted and built over the past 5 years, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

I’ll be back with a new purpose, new passion, and of course a new member of the Silk team.

It’s so common with brands like yours. You’ve got a Klaviyo account sitting there, paying for the the subscription, and maybe one welcome email set up from two years ago. When email could be making 40% of your overall revenue!

There’s no real welcome flow introducing you and making that step to starting a relationship with that potential customer.

An abandoned cart email so generic it looks identical to every other brand’s because it literally is, same template.

And after they buy? A Shopify “order confirmed.”

That’s it.

So it’s no wonder your customers aren’t coming back. And acquiring a new one keeps getting more expensive.

So your ads have a job of getting attention and driving people to your site.

But email is what closes it, and keeps them coming back.

It’s the follow-up your ads literally cannot do.

You don’t need to spend more on ads to see a better result. You need email that’s actually set up, personalised to your brand and your audience.
