Small beach village in the Gippsland region. Also known as the town where the Snowy River meets and flows into the southern Ocean.
We spent 5 nights here spending time with family and also exploring the coastal town by foot and boat. Plenty of places to boat and fish and if your like us and don't ever have any luck catching dinner then the pub always puts up a good feed.
This town is well known to our family, with us having visited many times at different stages of our lives. Always a great place to stay and catch up on some relaxation 😀

Tathra NSW

We have just spent a week at Tathra NSW.
What can we say.....if you can you must visit this beachside town!! It has been one of our favourite places on our journey.
Endless walks along the beach, tree top ziplining, fun filled day at Magic Moutain (Lachie at 3 years old conquered the wipeout solo - what a legend!!), enjoyed the caravan parks activities, and Lachie wants everyone to know has mastered his epic skidding skills on his bike! That's just scratching the surface of what we have done.
We have been living our best life especially the kids, they have both come so far since being on the road and the smiles on their faces say it all!!

BUNGENDORE SHOWGROUNDS

Great overnight stop at bungendore showgrounds. 30km from Canberra, access to power and water if needed. $25 for powered site or $15 for unpowered.
Very clean amenities with access to toilets and hot showers.
Pet friendly too 🐶🐕
Very friendly locals too 😀

Koala Shores Port Stephens Holiday Park

A peaceful 4 days just spent here. Water, bush, activities for the kids and a nice quietness to relax. Bit of a change of pace but definitely what we needed before our next leg of the trip.

We will be leaving here tomorrow and spending 2 days on the road. Still lots of exploring to do 🏞

Thanks to Big 4 Great Lakes Holiday Park Forster Tuncurry for our great stay. Amazing place, lots of activities for the kids and plenty of beaches to sit by and watch the sunset.

Forster - Tuncurry 🌏🏝
It always takes a few days adjusting to a new park and finding your way around the local area. Whilst its a different atmosphere to our first destination we have enjoyed our first few days.
Moving days are always tough as we know it means being stuck in the car for an extended time however the 2 boys and our four legged friend were all very patient and got through the day. We have moved 350km south along the NSW coast line.
After a day of settling in and exploring the area we have so far visited lots of beaches, mastered our balloon making skills in the caravan parks complementary kids workshops which are ran daily (different class each day), visited Timbertown which bought back lots of childhood memories for Callum and I, and we cannot forget to mention our water fish has managed to suss out where the pool is and had already had endless swims.
We are sitting tight here for another 4 days and have some day trips planned. We will keep you all updated ♥️

And that's a wrap of our first week at Solitary Island Marine Park Resort at Wooli. The week bought lots of fun, endless swimming and rides on the parks 100m waterside, sightseeing, a visit to the Big Banana, relaxing and a stock up on food from good old Betty Sue. 🤣
