An oldie but a goodie ❀

5 of my favourite ways to use Facebook Ads πŸ™Œ

1. Generate more email leads! Email addresses are like a digital marketers gold. You can do so much with an email address! Retarget, send automatic emails with product or service updates, find people that Look like your ideal customer.. the list goes on!

2. Retarget anyone who has been on your website, abandoned cart, get them back on your website and converting πŸ₯³

3. Drive high quality traffic who are likely to make a purchase directly to your product pages.

4. Serve ads to people who have literally been into your physical store 🀯 location targeting is a pretty cool thing and super relevant to lots of serviced based businesses.

5. Reach people who have never even heard of you, but are into what your selling and turn them into your newest customer. How do we know what they are into? The content they look at and what they like.

The magic wheel of optimisations.. dunn dunn dunnnnn! Check it out πŸ‘‡

If your Facebook Ad is outside the learning phase its a good time to consider how to optimise your ads to make the most of your budget πŸ’°

How?
Check the CPR at an ad level. Typically ads can be more expensive at first and then level out as Facebook learns.

If your outside that learning phase its a good indication on whether your ad will be lower cost + high result.

After your ads have received a number of impressions, your ad relevance score will be visible, if its "below average" check your budget (that you have enough for learning and testing), that your audience targeting is not too broad or narrow and its people who would be interested in you.

Last but not least, check over your creative and copy and make sure its catchy!😁

Your ad will then go back to that learning phase and if you have got it all down you should see better results, lower cost and a high ad relevance score πŸ™Œ

Eeeek are you doing these things with your ads??

1. Lack of clear objectives is a killer. The first step to achieving success in any marketing campaign is to have a measurable objective. Make sure you create objectives that meet your current business needs. I.e more sales, more website traffic, more brand awareness.

2. Poor audience targeting. There's so so many Facebook users, if you're targeting is all wrong your ads might get lost among a huge about of content that is updated on Facebook daily.

3. Using the wrong ad type. Choose from a single image, a video, a carousel, an instant experience... but you need to be clear about your audience to use the right one. Really you need to know which one is going to work best for your objective.

4. Don't abandon your ads! Its important to analyse your ads DAILY. If you don't monitor and optimise, how do you expect it to work...

5. Don't make it just about a sale. No one likes the pushy car sales dude. Don't be that guy. Consider creating ads that build trust.

6. Lack of clear value proposition. Uhm what are your customers getting out of it? You need to show your potential customer the value you bring and the benefits they can get out of your service.

Do you have a plan for your businesses advertising for Christmas? 🌲Can I tell you, if you don't its time to start thinking of how you are going to tackle the biggest shopping time of the year.

Something else I can tell you? The big corporate companies think about this stuff back in July 🀯

Something else? Your competing in the same place as them with maybe a fraction of their marketing budget. 😢

What else? People are buying their Christmas gifts earlier and earlier in the year. Shopping behaviour has drastically changed.🎁

So what do you do?

πŸ’’ Start building audiences now with your ads that you can retarget to in the busy shopping periods.

πŸ‘‰This means your target audience is waiting and ready for you to serve your ads to, and as an audience who has already seen your business once before they will be more likely to purchase later. Meaning your budget will go further despite competing with bigger brands.

Then...
πŸ’’Start your retargeting ad campaigns a bit earlier than the bigger companies, why? Because the more people advertising all at once, the higher the cost of your ads will be overall.

πŸ‘‰This also helps you cut through the noise earlier than other businesses who leave ads to the last minute.

Not seeing the results you want on your google ad campaigns? πŸ‘‡

There are several ways to optimise your campaigns so they are more effective and not as costly πŸ₯³

1. Research your keywords
Spend some time doing this and it will save you money in the long run! Make sure your ads keywords are ones that are right for your content and landing page.

2. Location location location. No point advertising to someone miles away if your a local service provider.

3. Exact Match Targeting is a good way to narrow down what your going to convert on πŸ“Œ

4. Adjust your bidding - pretty self explanatory πŸ’Έ

5. Expanding your keywords list. Once you notice a keyword converting in your exact match list move it over to broad match targeting 🎯

Remember Google ads is never a "set and forget"
