The backbone of productive beef and sheep pasture systems.

In medium to high rainfall environments with hot summers, a well-managed phalaris and subclover pasture remains hard to beat for persistence, resilience and year-round productivity.

This paddock was sown in 2021 with Meatmaster GT, our tailored blend containing Holdfast GT phalaris and Campeda & Mintaro sub-clovers, and is still going strong.

Providing valuable feed following the autumn break, strong winter production and the added benefit of nitrogen fixation from subclover, phalaris/subclover pastures continue to form the foundation of many successful grazing enterprises.

High-quality feed drives high-quality weight gains.

This paddock of Renovator SR was sown in March and is now being ration grazed by steers.

Containing Tempo Italian ryegrass, Hogan annual ryegrass and Laser Persian clover, Renovator SR is designed to deliver high-quality forage through winter and spring.

Over the past six weeks, calves have increased from an average 240 kg to 310 kg liveweight, grazing a combination of Renovator SR and a separate paddock of Express oats. Average daily gain has been 1.5 kg/day, with a range of 1.3–1.9 kg/day.

Strong pasture performance continues to be one of the most cost-effective drivers of liveweight gain.

A paddock full of opportunity ⭐️
Just out of Grafton, this Coaster Plus blend is off to a flying start. Made up of Coaster annual ryegrass, Hogan annual ryegrass, Sorcerer oats and Falcon turnip, this mix is shaping up to deliver plenty of quality feed through the cooler months.

From paddock prep to wrapped bales, this was a Tasmanian farmer's steps to success last year. A custom blend of Magnate barley and Tempo Italian ryegrass was sown on August 26, combining:
🌱 Magnate barley at 70kg/ha
🌱 Tempo ryegrass at 15kg/ha
🌱 100kg/ha DAP at sowing

The crop was then top-dressed on October 1 with 150kg/ha of 30-0-10-6 before being cut, baled and wrapped across December 22–24.
The end result:
✅ 39 x 5x4 bales/ha
✅ No irrigation
✅ Strong production through the season
A fully fledged example of how combining forage cereals and ryegrass can help drive quality feed production late into the season.
