This is why the myth that SEO is smoke and mirrors prevails. It prevails because bad practitioners did bad, work and the client is left with no other way to explain their lack of results.

They are after all based on math and processes governed by logic.

❓How do you do a basic keyword research❓

Back in the day, we used keywords to optimise a single page for a few individual keywords.

Today using groups (topics/themes) of related keywords, will not only give users more insightful information, but Google will also prioritise more researched content to serve to satisfy searchers.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲:
If you wanted to write a post about “how to cook pasta” (which I would love to read btw🤦‍♀️ )
The keywords would look something like this:

❓how to cook pasta in a microwave
❓how to cook pasta sauce
❓how to cook pasta al dente
❓how to cook pasta bake
❓how to cook pasta in a thermomix

If you are paying a s% load in paid ads(aka as PPC) it could be time to start putting more effort into your SEO strategy to generate more organic traffic. You will usually see a higher ROI in organic leads, and also better positioning on Google long-term with SEO.
