Behind the scenes of a Seven Sharp story 🎥
How does a story go from an idea to a PR pitch to national television?
This one started with two World of WearableArt (WOW) finalists Dinah and Mark Walker - and the fact that behind their extraordinary creations are two ordinary Kiwis.
Dinah is a recently retired nurse and Mark used to be a harbour master. From their home, they create incredible garments that end up on one of the world’s most spectacular stages.
We pitched their story to Seven Sharp, and last week the team headed to their home to spend time with them, see where the magic happens and learn more about the creative process behind their WOW garments.
The finished story aired on Friday night; a lovely example of what happens when you find the human story behind the big event.
