Last night was about more than the opening of an office.
It was about resilience, courage and what is possible when someone refuses to give up.
We gathered to celebrate the opening of Nursing Pointβs new Beaconsfield office, surrounded by healthcare professionals, NDIS providers, business owners, friends, family and members of the African community.
What made the evening so special was Vickieβs story.
A young mother at just 15 years old who arrived from Africa carrying dreams bigger than her circumstances. Through determination, hard work and the support of those who believed in her, she stood proudly in her own office sharing a journey that moved everyone in the room.
It was also wonderful to see so many familiar faces from both the Women Making It Work, We Rise Networking Cardinia Shire and BNI Pakenham communities. These are the spaces where connections are made, collaborations begin and women genuinely support one another. Many members attended to celebrate Vickieβs achievement, a beautiful example of what can happen when community, connection and opportunity come together.
The evening was a powerful reflection of diversity, culture and belonging. It reminded us that success is rarely built alone. Behind every milestone is a community of people who encourage, support and champion one another along the way.
The evening was made even more special by the many people who took a moment to share their words of encouragement, wisdom and support. Featured speakers included Aloyna Taylor, Khatija Halabi and Marcus Adams, alongside several others whose contributions helped create such a warm and meaningful celebration.
Congratulations Vickie and the Nursing Point team on this incredible milestone. We are proud to celebrate your success and excited to see the impact you will continue to make within our community.
