I've become much better at changing my plans.
Not necessarily because I like it.
I like having something decided.
Dates in the diary.
Arrangements made.
A clear idea of what happens next.
But life has an annoying habit of introducing information that wasn't available when we made the original decision.
And that's when stubbornness can masquerade as determination.
There's nothing particularly admirable about sticking to a plan simply because it was the plan.
Sometimes new information means we should keep going.
Sometimes it means we should change direction.
And sometimes the wisest decision is simply to put something on hold.
Changing your mind isn't always indecision.
Sometimes it's evidence that you're still paying attention.
