How to get to Library on MacOS


The Library folder on your Mac contains important system files for your preferences and settings.


It’s rare that you’ll need to access this folder.


However it’s possible to open it if you need to diagnose a problem or to find settings files for certain programs.


Be careful before deleting or modifying any files in this folder.


How to access the Library folder
1. Open Finder
2. Press and hold the Option key on the keyboard
3. From the Go menu, press Library
Note: If you aren’t pressing the Option key, this won’t be shown.

Making the Magic Keyboard Home & End buttons behave like Windows.


When you started using the Magic Keyboard, your fingers are likely to fall into the habit of trying to use these Windows commands:

• Home to go to beginning of the line (failed)
• End to go to the end of the line (failed)
• Ctrl + End to go to end of the document (failed)
It’s going to the end of the document, not what I want.
• Ctrl + Home to go to the start of the document (failed)
It’s going to the end of the document, not what I want.
• Shift + Ctrl + Home to select all to start of document (failed)

Some things did work — just not what you expect:

• Ctrl + Left to go to the start of the line (worked)
• Ctrl + Right to go to the end of the line (worked)

If you want a good backlight for your we**am, don't buy a selfie-ring, buy a LIFX Z-TV Backlight.


Last year when working from home, I wanted to invest in a good back-light for my We**am.


I reviewed two options – either buy a decent LIFX Apple HomeKit Backlight, or a cheap Cygnett Selfie Ring.


I bought both, so I could review which is best.

On 2nd March 2021, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in Australia approved Apple to use an electrocardiagram (also called an ECG or EKG) app in the Apple Watch.


On 2nd March 2021, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in Australia approved Apple to use an electrocardiagram (also called an ECG or EKG) app in the Apple Watch.


There’s some important considerations, and a release date is not yet confirmed, however this is good news for Apple Watch users.


Many people have also delayed buying an Apple Watch, specifically for the release of these new health apps.


The ECG app has been available in many countries worldwide on most Apple Watch versions, since the release of Apple Watch 4 in September 2018.

iCloud Mail Custom Domains

When you subscribe to iCloud+, you can use up to five custom domains to send and receive email with iCloud.


From 20th September 2021, if you have an iCloud+ subscription, you can personalise your email account to take advantage of your personal domain name.

[ So instead of [email protected] you could have [email protected]. ]
