Aussie Rock royalty.
It was a rock dog’s dream and we loved it. Full band room , full band, and the new rockin’ take on our anthem.
The band…on keys , on drums , on bass, on backup vocals and the legendary .w.spencer on lead providing some bottleneck magic. The great man himself, as always, unforgettable on vocals and our composer with the mostest, Rob Upward keeping the riff and the night rolling.
All with a select Balance agency crew of toe tappers and supremo’s and Nikkita Ross in the audience.

Later on, there was plenty of laughter and love in the room, over an amazing 5 course dinner.
In case you didn’t know, the Alpine Hotel Warburton is an immaculately restored 1885 Heritage listed hotel, with stunning views of the Yarra River and nestled in the peaceful and pristine mountains of the upper Yarra Valley. A must do!

Victim of our own success….

Had a knock at our door the other day at Balance and there’s a guy there asking if we do film development, commenting that our price looked very cheap.

True enough.

Except of course that the drawcard was our decorative 1980’s piece of retail ephemera.

The traditional signwriter who made this one didn’t depend on tech, they would’ve drafted it out with chalk and wrote it by eye, freehand. This final timber A-Frame is made by hand, using brushes and enamels for a long-lasting finish - and apparently, is still pulling in the punters 40 years later.

Still, the way film is going there might be something in it for us…
