Brunswick City made it back-to-back wins with an impressive first-half display against Port Melbourne in a chaotic contest.

Austin Wong was once again outstanding, controlling the midfield and scoring a brace, while Trent Skapetis delivered exactly what the cameraman asked for, scoring an Olimpico straight from the corner and making sure the celebration was directed right at the camera (it’s like we had done this before).

A great win for the Spartans.

One thing I’ve realised this week is that I’ve always prided myself on being accessible and open to everyone.

But this week has been nothing short of toxic. The constant calls, messages, rumours, speculation and, at times, outright rudeness have been disappointing.

I’m always happy to have a conversation and answer questions, but there’s a line between being approachable and feeling entitled to someone’s time. This week, that line has been crossed far too often.

With the OFC Pro League now wrapped up and a few NPL projects coming to an end, I’ve got some extra time available and would love to give some attention to businesses looking to create quality video content.

Half way through 2026 and here are just some of the things you hear around the traps that make working in sport incredibly difficult and, at times, pretty disrespectful.

If you’ve worked in sport long enough, chances are you’ve heard most of them.

Thankfully, there are also plenty of fantastic clubs, organisations and people who make it all worthwhile.

Despite the challenges, we’re still having a lot of fun doing what we do and helping our clients tell their stories.

Northcote’s women made it three wins in a row with a commanding 2-0 victory over Meadow Park on a historic Thursday night at John Cain Memorial Park.

Despite creating numerous chances and having opportunities to extend the margin, Northcote controlled the contest from start to finish and secured another impressive three points to continue their strong run of form.
