The New Ticketing System
A new ticketing system called MetTicket was introduced on Friday 1st December 1989. A new feature was that passengers could buy in advance either a 3 hour, daily, weekly or monthly ticket.
These new tickets were stocked at over 800 ‘Off System’ retail outlets including authorised newsagents, Amcal Chemists, selected mix business and 7-Eleven Stores, in addition to Met Shops.
