Most tradies don’t really think twice about what they’re wearing. Grab a shirt, throw it on, head out the door. Simple!

It might not change the way you work, but customers notice more than you think.

When you turn up in a plain tee or a mix of random gear, you look capable…but you also look like everyone else. There’s nothing wrong with that; it just doesn’t stick in people’s minds.

Now compare that to a properly branded shirt with considered logo placement and the right print method for the job.

Suddenly you’re not just “a tradie turning up for a quote”, you’re a business. One that looks organised, consistent, and like you’ve done this a hundred times before.

When it comes to business, looks matter (alot). Most customers aren’t just choosing a service based on price, even if they say they are. They’re choosing who feels trustworthy, put-together, and easy to back.

A $30 shirt doesn’t magically win you work.

But it does help you show up like the business people feel say “1000 times, yes!” to.

And if you’ve been meaning to sort uniforms for your crew, our EOFY promo’s running until June 30!

🚨 NO SET UP FEES on screen printing 🚨

A good excuse to finally get it done without the extra costs. 😎

The ideas are rolling in 🕺

Some are funny, some are weird, some make absolutely no sense on paper but somehow we’d still wear them.

Here are a few entries we’ve been loving so far.

A reminder that you don’t need a finished design, a polished concept, or any clue whether it’ll work. Sometimes the best ideas start as a random thought, a note in your phone, or something your mate said once that never left your head.

🚨 WIN 100 FREE CUSTOM TEES.

Send us your idea and you could see it turned into 100 real shirts.

Most tradies think their marketing is happening online, but a lot of it actually happens in places like Bunnings.

Your next customer could be standing in the queue right behind you. The thing is, if you’re not branded properly, there’s nothing that helps them connect you to your business later. They might remember seeing you, they might even need someone like you, but to them you’re just another face in the aisle.

Because most jobs don’t start with someone searching online. They start with someone thinking they need help, then later trying to remember who they’ve seen, who they’ve heard of, or who looked like they knew what they were doing. When people need a tradie, they’ll search online, but the market is crowded. More often than not, they’re trying to remember someone they’ve already seen or heard of.

Bunnings is full of people in DIY mode. They’re grabbing bits and pieces, trying to fix things themselves, and slowly (no, quickly) realising they probably need a professional.

At the same time, every type of tradie is there doing the same thing. Electricians, plumbers, builders, all crossing paths without even realising it.

And tradies talk. If someone has a good experience or sees a business that stands out, they pass it on.

That’s where branding starts to matter more than people think. It’s not just about looking good on a job site, it’s about being recognisable in everyday places where people are forming opinions and making decisions.

Most jobs don’t start with someone searching online. They start with someone thinking they need help, and then trying to remember who they’ve seen before.

If your business isn’t memorable in those moments, you’re not really in the running, even if you’re doing all the right work.

Colour matching in embroidery isn’t guesswork. It’s one of the biggest factors in whether a logo looks spot on or slightly “off” once it’s stitched.

Screens can be a bit unreliable. Colours shift, lighting plays games, and thread behaves differently on fabric compared to a glowing monitor. So what looks perfect on your screen can show up very differently in real life.

That’s why we don’t just pick a colour and hope for the best.

We match thread in a few different ways depending on the job:

1️⃣ Physical match
We hold thread up directly against your garment or product, like a hat brim or fabric swatch, and tweak it until it actually looks right.

2️⃣ Print and match
We print your logo as a test patch, then match thread by eye to that printed version. It helps bridge the gap between digital colour and stitched reality.

3️⃣ Pantone matching
If you’ve got Pantone references, we can work from those and pull the closest embroidery thread options for a more precise, brand-accurate match.

It’s a small part of the process, but it’s usually the difference between “yeah that’ll do” and “that looks exactly like us.” 🙃
