We took on a commission to make some prop accurate sashes for the Mary Poppins movie (original) for a group who are attending the Mary Poppins Festival in Maryborough.
The “Votes For Women” sashes required a lot of research to colour match the edge ribbon and also a serious search for an appropriate font for the printed part.
We printed the ribbon 96mm wide, then stitched the 25mm edge ribbon. (We learnt how hard it is to stitch satin ribbon.)
To fix the sash we created a colour coordinates pin button badge, complete with our email address.
We are looking forward to seeing photos from the day as six ladies march!!
