A wonderful result. Pluto Media worked with, and was integral to the establishment of the inaugural AWARD school Indigenous scholarships. A Initiative developed to encourage more Indigenous creatives to enter the advertising and media industries. We are so pleased to announce that 3 scholarships were offered and accepted by Indigenous creatives from Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

Following on from the successful talk "The True Diversity Problem" given by Pluto Media at Advertising Week APAC, it is with the greatest of pride that Pluto Media, in partnership with The Communications Council of Australia, announce the formation of the AWARD School Indigenous Scholarship for 2019.

The AWARD School is the premier training college for creatives that wish to work in The Advertising and Media Industries. This program has been formulated with a strong desire to identify and encourage more indigenous people to enter this industry and obtain senior creative roles.

Applications open on the 7th of February, and notifications of acceptance will be distributed week commencing the 4th of March.

Pluto Media encourages all Indigenous people to apply.

Making movies in Nigeria often involves some element of danger required to get the shot. Did you know that Nigeria "Nollywood" is considered one of the largest film markets on the planet. On average 5-7 Independent films get released per week and sold on DVD at one of the thousands of markets held all over the country. Brings back memories of going to you favourite video store.

A while ago Pluto Media was asked to conduct a story on the only government funded Blind School in the whole of The Phillipines.The school has over 500 students from all over the country and runs on a shoestring budget, often using outdated equipment and technology Some of the stories we saw was heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. A great example of teachers following their passion and disadvantaged students being given an opportunity.
