The practice of noticing the little things.
Earlier in the month, Dad and I took our cameras out for a day in the Highlands - no agenda, just capturing the small details that took our eye as we slowly made our way around the district.
The act of slowing down and actively looking for beauty in the little things. Here is a collection of those moments:
1. The perfect mirror reflection of the eucalyptus on the river
2. Fading native flowers after the summer heat
3. How the apple rarely falls very far from the tree
4. Dew drops on a perfect thistle flower
5. The gentle mist rising off the river at first light
6. The full udder of happy dairy cows grazing in the shade
7. The dappled sunlight beaming through the trees
8. The first hydrangea blooms of the season marking the start of summer
9. The very first feed from a newborn dairy calf
10. The road less travelled from taking the long way home
It’s been a heavy week, and as we prepare to celebrate the festive season with those we love, this is just a small reminder to take in the details, and look for those little moments of beauty and joy.
