Councillors will be discussing the updated Tree Management policy at an Information Session next Monday 2 March at 5.30 at the Council Chamber.

Cr Anne Fordham had requested this occur after moving a motion in a late 2025 Council meeting that the previously presented policy was not good enough.

These are not live-streamed but should be, to enable the community to hear and see relevant information.

Highlander PLUS is a way to add on to your train journey with a unique experience!

March 29th will be our first one for 2026, coinciding with the Glenbar Garden Gala.
Park your car at Mount Barker Railway station and catch the train to Strathalbyn, where regular shuttle busses will be operating between the railway station and Glenbar Homestead.

Update.

📣 Important update – Haus Music at the Pony

We’re very sorry, but due to unforeseen circumstances we need to modify our Haus Music Party event on Saturday 21 February.

The DJs will now be playing on our main stage only, rather than across three separate stages as originally advertised. This means the event will be scaled back, but it will still deliver a great vibe, quality DJs and plenty of dancing throughout the night.

The good news – the event is now FREE to attend.

For everyone who has already supported us by purchasing a ticket, we want to say thank you.
Your ticket will be honoured as credit behind the bar or for dinner, up to the value you paid (e.g. $55 or $25).

For everyone else, it will be a Pony night as usual – pay as you go for food and drinks.
Please note our regular dinner menu will be available on the night.

We truly appreciate your understanding and support, and we still can’t wait to welcome everyone to the brewery for a great night of music, drinks and dancing.

If anyone needs a safe place to sleep (even if in their car), you are welcome to just drive in to our park and set up, anytime of the hour. Toilets and showers are open, boom gate is up! Help yourself. No questions asked. No cost involved.
That goes for stranded campers trying to get to the island also.

I have no Cabin accomodation available though.
Pets welcome as long as they are on lead.
