When you calve down around 180 heifers a year there are always disappointments and hopefully some pleasant surprises!
Our surprise packages this year came from the Duckett Pfct Has-It-All daughters.
We blanket used sexed Has It All and Eye Candy semen on a group of heifers, no planned joining... just potluck! So when the Has It All's hit the dairy as standout Junior 2 year olds, we were blown away with the consistent udders and overall balance. With more due to calve in February we can't wait to see more of these young cows!

We’re possibly juggling more things than we should right now but still managed to enter a few into the South Australia Spring Semex On Farm Challenge. Cut our entries in half but still had to sweat it over our final choices for the 3 year old class. So in the video not everyone made the cut; some did, some didn’t. Don’t mind the fresh calved cow but enjoy the view! Keep an eye on the South Australian Holstein Branch FB Friday night for the results. Good Luck Everyone!
