One of the biggest misconceptions about newborn photography is that you book once your baby arrives. 🤎

In reality, most families secure their newborn session at the beginning of their second trimester to ensure availability around their due date. Newborn sessions are photographed within the first 3 weeks earthside, when those tiny details, sleepy stretches, flaky toes and curled-up poses are still so fresh. We all know just how quickly those little features change.

For the remainder of 2026, all newborn sessions will be photographed in my Buxton studio while I settle back into the newborn lifestyle myself. I intentionally take on only a small number of newborn bookings each month, allowing me to give every family the time, care and attention they deserve during such a special season.

One day, these photographs will be worth more than you can imagine.

Not because of the perfect outfit, the beautiful location, or whether you’ve reached a certain milestone. They’ll matter because they capture you, the person who held their hand, kissed their scraped knees, carried them when they were tired, and loved them through every stage of growing up.

Photographs with your children aren’t something to keep putting off for “one day.” They aren’t just a treat or a luxury. They’re part of your family’s story.

Your little ones won’t look back and notice the things you’re worried about. They’ll simply see their mum. They’ll see the love, the connection, and the memories you made together.

Late 2026 babies 🤎 If you’re dreaming of those tiny newborn details being documented, now is the perfect time to reach out.

Newborn sessions are photographed within the first 1–3 weeks of earthside, while they’re still so fresh, sleepy, and curled up in all those beautiful newborn ways.

They change so incredibly quickly in those early days, and preserving this season before it slips by is something you’ll never regret. ✨

That time it snowed in Marysville, and I dragged Sienna + Mitch all the way to the top of a mountain for their engagement session ❄️

Frozen fingers, layers upon layers, slipping through snow, and somehow still laughing the entire way through. Snow sessions are never the “easy” option… but wow, they are magical. The kind of adventure that feels exciting from the second you start the drive up the mountain.

There’s something so special about photographing two people completely wrapped up in each other while snow falls around them. Cold? Absolutely. Worth it? Every single time.

Counting down the weeks until these two officially tie the knot 💍

Now I’m just quietly hoping we get one more beautiful snow drop before my own little one enters the world 🤍

There’s something so incredibly special about photographing another mama while growing a little love of your own at the very same time 🤍

Just one week apart, soaking in all the excitement, anticipation, and those tiny little kicks that make this season feel so real. Watching her step into motherhood for the very first time was such a beautiful thing to witness, the glow, the softness, the quiet wonder of it all.

A reminder that these little moments deserve to be remembered too ✨

We celebrated Charmaine & James as the sun rose over Lake Eildon, after a 3am start for hair & make up and a 5:00am start for getting ready photos. Sleepy eyes, hot coffees, quiet moments, and then the sky absolutely delivered.

Just days prior, nearby paddocks had been dusted in snow, and somehow the skies opened up with the most incredible colours. One of those mornings that didn’t feel real.

A slow, beautiful beginning to a marriage, surrounded by the kind of sunrise you could never plan for, but will never forget 🤍

The final wedding before maternity leave, and what a way to finish this season 🥹

A little reminder that there’s no “perfect” time for family photos 🤍

This spot is one of those places that just works in every season, soft and moody in winter (but still glowy), fresh in spring, golden as the warmer months roll in. It’s always beautiful, no matter when you come.

If you’d love to document your family in 2026, now is the time to reach out as dates between August & November are filling faster than I thought. 🤎🤎🤎

But mostly, this is your sign that the in-between, everyday kind of moments are worth keeping too ✨

Newborn sessions are slow, gentle, and completely guided by your baby 🤍

There’s no rush here, we pause for feeds, cuddles, nappy changes, and all the in-between moments. Your little one leads the way, and I simply follow their cues to create something honest and natural.

The best time to book your newborn session is during your second trimester, so we can reserve space around your due date. Sessions are typically photographed within the first 1–2 weeks after birth, when babies are still extra sleepy and curled up… but truly, it’s never too late.

Whether your baby is days old or a few months in, these moments are always worth capturing.

7 months with Willow 🤍 A beautiful baby girl, a furbaby who never stopped chasing the ball, and a mum and dad so clearly in love. The kind of session that feels like home.

It’s always the perfect time for family portraits, especially when your little one grows so quickly. One minute they’re curled up in your arms, the next they’re giggling, sitting tall, and taking in the world around them. These moments deserve to be remembered.

And hearing words like this means the world 🫶🏻
