Because so much changes in those first 12 months. They grow, change, learn, and become this little person with a personality all their own, while you’re growing and changing right alongside them.

The days can feel long, but somehow the first year flies by.

Motherhood happens so quickly.

One day you’re staring at two lines on a test, wondering who this little person will be…

and before you know it, they’re turning one, growing beside you, and somehow you’re already wondering where the time went.

There are so many little chapters in between.

The ones you know you’ll remember,
and the ones you don’t realise you’ll miss until they’re gone.

So photograph the bump.
Photograph the tiny toes.
Photograph the first birthday.
Photograph the chaos, the cuddles, the growing

Do I need to keep my baby awake before our newborn session?

It’s one of my most asked questions, and the answer might surprise you. Yes, I might suggest keeping your little one awake for a short time before the session, but if you’re traveling to my studio, don’t stress. I don’t expect your baby to stay awake the whole way.

Every baby is different, sessions are baby led, and there’s time for feeds, cuddles, nappy changes, and zero pressure.

The tips I send before your session just give us the best chance for a smooth and relaxed session. Some of my favourite images are actually wide-eyed moments, you know, those tiny stretches or gazing up at mum and dad.

My goal isn’t perfection. It’s creating beautiful memories of your baby, exactly as they are.

Newborn sessions are best booked in your early second trimester, and photographed within the first few weeks earthside.
